We believe in the magic of software to change the world and unlock human potential.
That very principle has been the driving force behind a team of entrepreneurs, engineers, designers and scientists in Silicon Valley and Hyderabad, India – a diverse crew of builders who’ve been hard at work over the past two years with one simple goal.
To completely re-imagine how the world moves things with no limits in our thinking or approach. Today, we unveil that work.
Logistics is a $8 Trillion global industry and it's broken. Everything you see, touch, and eat has been moved. Logistics impacts every aspect of our daily lives from the cost of products to when and where they are available. Yet the primary players in the logistics industry – shippers, carriers and brokers -- continue to use antiquated ways to move things by air, land and sea – emails, faxes and phone calls. This creates countless hours of redundant manual tasks and causes companies to operate in silos. The result is billions of dollars wasted with inefficiency and missed opportunities.
While collaboration is foundational to moving anything, nothing in the market enables this. So, we had a vision for a better way to move things -- and we created the solution to fix it.
Today, with much anticipation and excitement, our team is thrilled to announce the next-generation of logistics -- Turvo.
Turvo is the first real-time collaborative logistics platform that is revolutionizing the industry by perfecting the science of movement through collaboration. Turvo simplifies complexity with one connected cloud platform that empowers everyone across the supply chain to make smarter, faster, more informed decisions.
We are bringing order to chaos with the only logistics software in the world that enables shippers, brokers and carriers to seamlessly work together in real time through the entire supply chain process – from orders and shipments to invoices and payments.
Turvo liberates individuals from repetitive, manual tasks saving companies time and money. The platform breaks down the silos that exist with companies by creating a standard way to share, communicate, and collaborate in real time.
We are also proud to announce that Turvo has closed a $25 million Series A round of funding led by Activant Ventures with participation from Felicis Ventures, Upside Partnership, Slow Ventures and Tony Fadell, inventor of the iPod, iPhone, and Nest. Other investors include: Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO of Box; Kevin Nazemi, co-founder of Renew.com and co-founder of Oscar Insurance; and Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman of Bank of Baroda and former Chairman of Microsoft India.
